Question # 3

Justify or contradict these trends by citing examples.

MIS Trends:

*MIS users are more knowledgeable.
*More computing power is available to the user.
*Resistance to the implementation of emerging MIS is subsiding.
*Connectivity
*MIS is becoming one of the primary means of increasing productivity.
*Companies are using MIS as a competitive strategy.
*MIS is becoming integral to the decision-making process.
*The end user is becoming the focus of MIS activity.

I definitely agree with these trends because information is very important. Having the right informations at the right time will help companies in making strategies to be able to become more advantage and competitive from others. Of course if you are an MIS user you are more knowledgeable and informative compare to those who are not using, in a sense that, informations are just one-click away. For example in the business industry, it is very important that the company knows what is happening or having right information so that they will excel in all aspects and become more productive. Information is use in decision-making that aid the processes of planning and control. Those industries who are implementing the most advance and most competitive infos against their competitors would result to higher revenues.
